SS. Theodorus and Theophanes, blood brothers, monks, defenders of the holy icons during the second Iconoclastic controversy. They are called "Grapti" or "Graptoi" ("written upon") because a dozen lines of verse were carved into their skin as punishment by the Iconoclasts.
