Pietisten takes its inspiration and design from the newspaper of the same name that was published by C.O. Rosenius and P.P. Waldenstrom in Sweden during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Commentaries on the lectionary texts by Luther, Rosenius, Waldenstrom, and others; ecclesiastical concerns; theological discussions; hymns; poetry; and selected news items.
