After the Islamic Revolution of Iran, on 19th Tir 1370 (10th July 1991) the General Assembly of the Banks, approved the establishment of Export Development Bank of Iran in order to provide necessary possibilities for the expansion of non-oil exports and economic and commercial interchanges with the other counties. This bank started its activities as the sole specialized governmental bank in the field of exports and imports (EXIM-Bank). Export Development Bank of Iran (EDBI) with its specialized employees is at the service of the exports of the country. By relying on the financial services of the specialized Export Development Bank of Iran, the potential possibilities for the production and the exports of the goods will be put into operation and can enhance to its proper stance in the international markets.
