Athena Caledonian Games

Back in 1899-1914, trainloads of people came to Athena to celebrate those of Scottish heritage in the area. In 1970s the games were revived. Annual weekend event includes sheep dog trials, vendors, bagpipers, parade, Scottish dancing, harpists and storytellers, and athletic competitions.
